Good value. You get what you expect for a YHA.
Lovely small hostel set in a great location
The site is so handy, right next to the visitors center, a collection of craft shops , kid's playground and a lovely walk through the woods to the Major Oak.
The kitchen was small but for the size of the hostel it was perfect (it could have been better equipped though) we had a brilliant time with all of the activities that were close like Sherwood pines. The room was good with a door opening into a private area where there was a bench and a good view of the garden we really enjoyed staying here.
On edge of Sherwood Forest thus close to the Major Oak with Robin Hood and his Merry Men! Good food and great friendly helpful staff. Come at the right time and you may be lucky with some great entertainment. The new Visitor Info Centre will be opening up right opposite later this year. It's looking good.
