Ate in the bar with family and a 4 year old. Good quality, handsome helpings with cheerful friendly service. Recommended.
I love this place. The staff are friendly & efficient, the food is very good & there is a good choice on the menu & specials board. It has a cosy atmosphere & a lovely real fire. Always a treat to come here

Clean and tidy with lots of character. Lovely, friendly staff and great service. Although we didn't stay for dinner as we were at a wedding reception the menu looked great and we enjoyed a very hearty breakfast the next morning. Ideal position for visiting Sherwood Forest or spending time locally in the beautiful villages close by. Recommended.
We stopped over on our way back from Sherwood Forest National Park Park to have Lunch. And I thought the place was really really lovely. Very warm staff and very nice meals and plenty of options in the menus. A good selection of beers at the bar. I can't talk about their accommodation side of things but the environment looked clean and the toilets looked well kept.
